Welcome to Awhina Day Nursery, an independent Waldorf / Steiner Centre for Child Care in Havelock North.

Awhina offers a nurturing care environment for children from 6 months to around 3 and a half years in a home like setting based on Rudolf Steiner pedagogical principles (anthroposophical day nursery).

It is our intention to offer an environment as close to an 'at home' experience as possible.
A 'home' environment means different things to different people. We would like to share with you  what it means for us and your child at Awhina.
